LIEBHERR CRANES

Liebherr cranes from the LC range are masters of load handling.

It doesn’t matter whether you are building single-family homes, apartment blocks, industrial buildings or other large-scale projects. A crane that is well suited to your needs is a master of load handling and an important factor in the success of your project. A tower crane must be economical to transport.

Assembly must be easy and safe, and the crane’s performance must be adapted to the needs of the site. Liebherr, with the world’s tallest range of cranes, meets these requirements.

LIEBHERR

MODELS

The Liebherr LC range offers a wide range of features with six different models. The 30 LC crane is the smallest tower crane in the Liebherr range.

It is designed for construction sites with limited space and also for frequent changes of location, such as in old town centres or detached houses. The 15 m tower sections and the delivery of the crane with all pre-assembly work carried out in the factory allow for economical transport and quick assembly.

The other models in the LC range, which include sizes of 40, 50, 63, 80, 90 and 100 metres, are designed for any type of building and operate worldwide. Developed with Liebherr’s interchangeability system, the LC range covers all the needs of the most modern construction sites. With adaptation parts, LC cranes can also be combined with other cranes in the Liebherr range. Liebherr is a competent partner when it comes to handling loads on your construction sites.

Quick, safe and easy assembly – Liebherr LC cranes.

Time is an important factor in costs and success. Quick, easy and safe assembly has an impact on the economics of a crane. This is one of the strengths of the LC series. In just a few hours, an LC crane is assembled and ready to work.

State-of-the-art technology and advances in construction are two factors behind the success of Liebherr LC cranes.

LC cranes from 40 metres upwards can be equipped with 4-metre and 12-metre tower sections. The 12-metre tower sections are suitable for assembly with a mobile crane. The 4-metre tower sections are used in combination with 12-metre sections and for assembly with climbing equipment.

The tower sections of LC cranes are interchangeable. This means that the order of assembly does not matter, avoiding possible confusion.

Good harmony, structures/mechanisms. Liebherr LC cranes.

The LC range can be equipped with different bases. Depending on the model, these vary between cruciform or trolley bases, which can be supplied in fixed versions with or without spindles or mobile on rails. There is also a version embedded on anchor feet.

LC cranes can be supplied with a slewing limiter or a slip ring collector.

As standard, cranes from 63 metres upwards have automatic branch change from the control station. This allows the crane operator to quickly select two or four branches and get the most out of the lifting mechanism.

The trolley has plastic rollers for movement and guidance. This ensures smooth and uniform movement.

The slewing mechanism with slip ring motor and hydraulic coupling allows smooth and precise movements, preventing the load from swaying. Braking manoeuvres are performed by applying ‘counter-rotation’. The slewing ring, manufactured by Liebherr, is of the latest design and is dust and water tight.

The robust travel mechanism ensures precise and safe movement of the load. Mechanisms with up to 3 speeds are available.

The hoisting mechanisms of LC cranes are equipped with 3-speed pole-changing motors, with a slow speed for precise load positioning movements. For great heights under hook, LC cranes are equipped with LS multi-layer winding drums.

The electrical cabinet is generously sized and has a neat layout of all its components. This facilitates easy access for any maintenance task.

The most advanced technologies applied to production ensure quality in the future.

Liebherr cranes in the LC series are manufactured at the Liebherr Industrias Metálicas, S.A. plant in Pamplona. The factory, which opened in 1997, is the result of Liebherr’s firm commitment to Spain. It is located on a 175,000 m² site. Liebherr manufactures construction cranes using computerised technical resources, automatic painting processes, etc.

Spacious areas for manufacturing and final assembly, together with state-of-the-art control systems, ensure high product quality. Safety at work and measures to protect the environment are also key factors at the Liebherr Industrias Metálicas, S.A. factory.

The modern painting facilities are equipped to handle large parts, 3 x 3 m in cross-section and 15 m in length, combined in a single process that fully automates the priming, painting and drying steps. The entire facility is designed for automatic waste disposal in an environmentally friendly manner.
